The Run In ("the game", "we", "us") is a free browser football/relegation-survival game available at therunin.app. This policy explains what information the game and this site collect, why, and what choices you have. It's written for this specific site — it isn't a generic template.
We're a small, independent, UK-based project. If anything here is unclear, email soccerstudiosuk@gmail.com and we'll do our best to help.
The Run In doesn't use accounts, logins, or a server-side database. Your daily results, stats and "Manager's Ledger" history are saved using your browser's local storage (under the key dailyRelegation.v1), directly on your own device. This data never leaves your device, is never transmitted to us, and we have no way to see it. It stays there until you clear it via your browser settings.
Like effectively any website, when you load therunin.app our hosting/content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes standard technical data to serve the page and keep it secure — things like your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser type, device type, and request timestamps. We don't use this for tracking or profiling; it's the ordinary operation of serving a web page, retained briefly by Cloudflare per their own practices.
The Run In displays advertising, served via Google AdSense, to help cover hosting costs. As part of that:
If we make material changes to how advertising works on this site, we'll update this policy and our Cookie Policy to match.
The limited data described above is used only to: run and secure the site (via our hosting provider), let the game function and remember your progress on your own device, and to serve and measure advertising. We do not sell any information, and we don't otherwise attempt to identify individual visitors.
The game itself doesn't set cookies directly (it uses local storage instead, described above) — advertising cookies are set by Google, separately. See our for full details on the cookies advertising sets.
We don't share, sell, or rent any personal information to third parties. The only third parties who process any data in connection with this site are: our hosting/CDN provider (Cloudflare), and Google and its advertising partners, strictly for the purposes described above.
The Run In is a general-audience football game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising on the site is configured in line with applicable requirements for any traffic that may include children (for example, Google's rules for treating sites and users as child-directed where relevant).
This site is operated from the United Kingdom but is accessible globally. Wherever you're visiting from, the limited technical data described above may be processed on servers outside your own country — for example, on Cloudflare's global network, and Google's advertising infrastructure — as part of normal internet operation.
Because we don't collect or hold personal data about you beyond the routine technical data described above (which we don't tie to your identity), there's generally nothing for us to look up, correct or delete on request. Where UK GDPR does apply to any data we do process, you have the right to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability. You can contact us at soccerstudiosuk@gmail.com with any such request, and you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and reflect any significant changes in the Cookie Policy too.

These terms cover your use of The Run In, the browser game at therunin.app ("the game", "the site"). By playing the game or otherwise using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
The Run In is a free, single-player browser game about managing a football club's fight against relegation over a run-in of matches. It runs entirely in your browser — no account or sign-up is required, and your progress is stored on your own device (see our ).
The game is intended for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. If you're under the age required to agree to terms like these in your country, please only use the site with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
When using the site, please don't:
The Run In — including its name, design, artwork, game mechanics as implemented, and underlying code — is the property of its developer, except where third-party components (such as fonts loaded from Google Fonts) are used under their own licences. You may play the game for personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the game or its code for commercial purposes without permission.
The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times — it's a small, independently run project, and things can occasionally break, change, or go offline, including permanently.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site — this is a free game, not a commercial service with guaranteed uptime or support. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
The site displays advertising via Google AdSense (see our and for details). Where the site links to or displays content from third parties (including ad networks), we aren't responsible for that third-party content, and your use of it may be subject to that third party's own terms.
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue the game or any part of it at any time, and may update these terms from time to time — for example, as the game evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your own country of residence.
Questions about these terms? Email soccerstudiosuk@gmail.com, or see our .
